Cool turbo kit but... its very flawed. No intercooler means a hot intake charge. This can shorten the motor life, and will most likley cause detonation. So you would have to buy a turbokit + intercooler and have some custom fab-work done. As for boost controller, turbo timer and gauges... not that big of a problem. But it is missing a lot of key parts. Thats probably why its only $2500, you get what you pay for.
Personally... seeing that supercharger kit has given me some ideas. Comes with a fuel pump too, aswell as the electronics. Even a computer to control all this crap. Yes I know I said a hot intake charge will shorten life of the motor and cause detonation. The computer this comes with will probably help with motor life, but it will resolve all detonation. Sounds like a project for after winter since I already have a winter project: SR20DET into a '92 Sentra SE-R.
I have always liked turbos more than superchargers, but I wouldnt buy this one. It is just a turbo, pipes, injectors, and a map sensor. I acturaly am going to look into this supercharger kit and PRAY they havent discontinued it in hopes of having one of the few boosted Camry's out there. Even though it is kind of pricy at $3500. Sure as hell would be a cool daily driver.
hey Patrick wut r u plan getting...u know they dont have any supercharged kit for 5sfe camry...the only thing they have for us is header....only 20 of them going to be made....i got 1 but still waitting for them to get it made
