What is that? i see some people referring to gen 3 parts(?) how do I know what my gen is?

Gen standing for generation ,each different body style production run signifies a different "gen"
Gen 1 1983-1986
Gen 2 1987-1991
Gen 31992-1996
Gen 41997-2001
Gen 5 2002-2006
Gen 6 2007 - ???? (current model)

I have a gen3 myself, but one of the sexiest ones I ever saw was a 97 LE, with the sunroof and tan leather interior. I confess, my heart was covetous.
