Overheating While Driving???
I recently had the 2.2 motor in my 99 Camry replaced with a 2.0. Since then, it runs hot any time that the motor is under any strain. If I sit still, with the ac on, or if I go at a low speed on a flat road, it cools down. I know that my fans only work when the ac is on, but I can't figure out why or if there is another reason it runs hot.
Anybody had this problem or have any suggestions?
Thanks for any input!

The fans run if the coolant temp is above 199F or the AC compressor is on. Typically the coolant only reaches this temp when the car is sitting still, stop and go driving or if there is a problem with the coolant system.
There should be enough air flow through the radiator at speeds about say 15 mph to not need the fans.
If the engine if overheating at higher speeds there is some kind of cooling system issue such as thermostat, plugged radiator, water pump, etc.
