I have a 97 camry. I want the brightest headlight bulbs I can buy without changing to real HID. I had a set of Silverstars. They were pretty bright but didn't last long. (NO I didn't touch the glass). I just bought a set of Nokya bulbs that are supposed to be 7000k brightness. They are blueish white but not even close to Silverstar brightness.
My question is-- What are the brightest bulbs that i can get as a drop in replacement? Every bulb out there claims to be the greatest thing. They all suck. I just want to be able to see at night.

the brightest bulbs are about 4300K

silverstar ultras are your best bet, although they no longer make them in the H4 size...but i heard that H1's will fit. I havent tried. I'm still using silverstars from over a year ago.

I did get some ultras for our highlander and there is definately a difference.

 

yepp! silverstars for me. I tried that nokya crap lol. what a waste.

 

OSRAM Silverstar. great bulbs. Im using mine for more than a year already.

 

am using Philips H4 Premium bulbs .. they are cool .. still no problems with them & the brightness is better than before.

i got the ultras in my and it worth the money. but after those blow i'll try the piaa just to see what the difference really is first hand.
