Default 03Camry Outside Temp Gauge Question

The reading on my 03 Camry always reads many degrees higher (20 degrees +/-) than the atual outside temperature. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a quick fix or am I looking at a replacement unit? Not sure of installation ease or cost... thanks Tim

Default RE: 03Camry Outside Temp Gauge Question

I've noticed the same optimism from my outside temperature gauge as well. I think the sensor is reading air heated by exhaust from other cars or just plain defective- probably just not accurate. IMO it's not that big a deal, since the the rest of the car is very nice. But if it really bothers you, you can always go to the dealer and price a new temp sensor out.
