2010 XLE 4 Cyl 0W-20 OIL???
What the heck is up with this 0W-20 oil??? Why can't I just stick with 5W-20---I know this is a hot button topic, but I just need reassurance from some folks that if I use 5W-20 my warranty will remain in effect (I purchased an extended 8 yr-75,000 Toyota warranty when I purchased the car). I am sure I could track down 0W-20 but I am basically too cheap to use it!!!

i have been using mobile 1 synthetic oil in my car since i got it, but that was when it was cooler. Its time for a new oil change so i was just wondering what yall use for your cars? what weight
Both 0W-20 and 5W-20 are just fine to use in your car. If you follow oil change guidelines per your owners' manual, that will afford you the reassurance you are looking for.
we are buying a 2010 le in the next week. i was not aware that 0w-20 is spec'd for the motor. i live in MN so i am always interested in cold weather stuff. is this too eek all every last drop of fuel mileage on new cars? i use syn oil in some of my cars during the winter.
That's right - the lighter weight of the 0W-20 motor oil allows for better gas mileage in a wide variety of motors. 0W-20 is run in some trucks as well as some cars. 0W-20 provides excellent protection just like 5W-20 and 5W-30 weight oils do.
