Greetings! I'm new to the forums. I'm a truck (used to be one of the Isuzu board moderators on 4x4wire.com) and motorcycle guy. This the first "normal" (as my wife puts it) car that I have ever owned.

I bought a 1994 2.2L Camry about 5 months ago. I want to add an intake. I've seen a bunch of intakes on ebay that only have 2 holes, an entry and an exit. When I look at my intake, I have an entry and an Exit, but I also have a hole in near one of the bends. It hooks up to another plastic box that's bolted to the wheel well. Now, I know enough about cars to know that this is NOT the airbox. Anybody know what this thing is? I don't have an owner's manual let alone a shop manual. This was an R title vehicle.

Can I just replace the main tube and let that other box just hang out? Is it part of the intake system? Is it a "Warm/Hot air recriculation thing"?

Any help would be GREATly apreciated.

Thanks!
Dave

Its a resonator to help eliminate noise from the intake. any camry with an intake after about 94 has had to just ignore it
