Default fuel shutoff override switch

Hello,

My husband recently wrecked his 96 6cyl Camry, crushing the raidator, and AC coil. The car wont start now after airbag deployment and I need to know where the fuel shutoff override switch is so it will be easier to load her onto a trailer.

Thank you.

Default RE: fuel shutoff override switch

Never heard of a fuel cutoff switch you imply on Camry. The system works via a relay system that shuts off the power to the pump if the engine stops running.

For the I4 if the ign igniter stops producing a signal power to the fuel relay is cut off. In the V6 there may be an air flow switch, no air flow shuts off the power to the relay.

Suggest checking all the cars fuses, one may have blown such as EFI, ignition, starter fuses.

Check for ign spark when cranking.

You can bypass all the relays by applying power to the Blue/Black wire at the pump. Pump access is under the lower rear seat which pulls up and out.
