Default Ecu replacement

I have a 1995 camry which needs an ECM. I need to know if the part numbers have to match exactly. My camry has a unit #89661-33370 I have found one that has the same numbers except the last five numbers 06061. engine type is the same. Will they interchange? Both modules are marked for the 5S-FE engine which is what I have.

do you have a CE or LE? The difference is probably due to the fact the those two models have different engines (and likewise the ECU needs to be dialed in differently).

He said they were both for the 5sfe, is that used for the 99's i4 as well? (I really dont remember what they used for 4g)

If its for the same engine I would imagine itd work.

89661 is the prefix for all toyota ecu's. The ecu you need is #89661-33370 or #89661-33370-84

-06061 92-93 4 cylinder, Federal emissions, Canadian market, AT.

Try doing a Google search on the ECU part number you need. Ebay may also sell them.
