im here in the philippines..i have a camry 2004 2.4v..

and ive just replaced all the shock absorbers..and everythings ok now..

except the price...its about 700$..isnt it expensive? i just wanna know how much it is in the states..

i have a question about throttle body.. i wanted to clean it up in toyota service center..

but they said its not necessary to clean..cuz the reason why i wanted to clean is that if i turn onthe airconditioner..

the engine is shaking..also the RPM is around 500..

they said thats not the reason...n i asked them what the reason is? they said..thats normal there is no problem..

i feel bad if the transmission is on D or R.. cuz its shaking..what should i do? pls help me~

Default RE: help me ive just replaced shock absorber..

With engine warmed up and idling check idle RPM, then turn on the A/C. The engine should idle up to compensate for the increased load of the A/C compression.

Note: The compressor cycles on and off, thus RPM will varing as this happens.

If the engine RPM does not increase but drops there is a problem with the idle up circuit. The RPM with A/C on should be around 800-1000.

As to shocks, if a Toyota dealer did the job the cost is inline with what they charge; parts and often labor are higher at the dealer.
