wife threw a rod on the 97 camry 2.2 4cyl, only 150k on it. what engine beside orig can I basically bolt in from other type toyota and what year camry's use same engines. car is great overall so want to keep it since bought it new. thanks.

 

Well, there aren't really any other BOLT ON engines aside for the original 5S-FE. Another option you have is the 1MZ-FE V6 but that too will need some custom parts to be put on.

 

its you're wifes car right? just replace it with the same, it'll sure give her fewer problems.
