I've always been one to up sz the rubber for more milage as I do 92% on the HWY @70 mph. So I went with the non OEM 195-65R15. Turanza EL400 pics if needed. The larger wheel does toss a few noise makers in the well which raises the WTF, oh yeah , new tires. P.S. I'm also srappin a hitch mount and in need of new struts @ 66K.

So out of your whole post you dont post a question, so are you just sharing your story with us?
Also i have trouble comprehending a bit of what you're trying to say.

All i know is that your getting a wider sidewall to make the tires last longer and that you need new struts.

no- but it shouldn't make that much of a difference:

treadwear wise- no because doughnuts are still nonetheless gonna be doughnuts which will lasts about 50K miles..

MPG- no because now, the engine will no have to spin a tire bigger in overall diameter than the OE size and with more size, the more pwr. required to move them. So- it will decrease your MPG but it shouldn't be something to worry about.

Worn springs/struts: will definetly rob you of your tires and your MPG.
