Default Easy Horsepower

Does anybody have an suggestions to get easy/ cheap horsepower? I have a 99 Camry LE V6 with an Injen air intake and TRD exhaust. That's it. I live in TN and we dont have an inspection from the DMV so some people have told me to gut the catalitic converter. Any suggestions on howto do that and is it even worth the effort?

Thanks!

Don't "GUT" out the cat; it'd be a waste ov time. Replace the cat. w/a 2.5in. straight pipe. Cut the mounting ends of the cat. and weld it onto the straight pipe endings then mount. What this does is itreduces backpressure of up to65%-70%Easy 18-20 horses; you can have a mom and dad exhaust shop do this for you for under $120.

or you can go to high flow cats. still keeps emission while getting that straight pipe sound and power. but i would think the camrys need alittle back pressure. i wouldnt go with a free flowing exaust on a camry. also look for new exaust manifolds. and if you want to get a superchip, or have a shop advance your timming alittle. just be carefull.
